Boys Semi-final Games at Linn County February 26, 2008
Brashear and LaPlata teams advance to the tournament championship game.
Brashear came into Tuesday night's game against Macon County looking
for revenge after suffering a loss at Macon County last Friday to end
regular season play. It soon became apparent that the Tigers would get
that revenge when they turned a small 14-10 1st quarter advantage into
a 29-14 halftime lead. Brashear's momentum slowed somewhat in the 3rd
quarter as Macon County pulled within 35-24 before the Tigers recorded
a strong 4th quarter to win 49-28. For Brashear, Trae Treasure scored
18 points, Matt Thomas added 8, Kiley Watson had 7, and Justin Hazen,
Jacob Shipman, Ryan Ferdig, and Kale Watson scored 4 points each. Macon
County was led by Joel Atha with 14 points, Josh Bailey had 6, Josh
Lusher had 4, Zach Martin had 2, and Andy Thompson and James Rowe
scored 1 point each.
In the other boy's semi-final game, LaPlata downed Atlanta 67-43.
Brashear and LaPlata will meet in the championship game Friday at 6:30.
